principale de notre association est bien évidemment la création
de spectacles. Mais il y a aussi la vie au quotidien, les projets parallèles...

L'association a fêté
ses 10 ans cette année. Ce fut l'occasion de rassembler une grande
partie des membres, actuels ou passés, de notre association. En
particulier, trois des quatre fondateurs de la troupe, Guy, Annie et Bernard,
étaient présents.

en contact avec la troupe du Little Theater de Droylsden, ville jumelée
avec Villemomble.
Un mélange
de Masques et du Little Theater,
au milieu de leurs
somptueux décors
| En Juillet
dernier, nous sommes allés les rencontrer, pour monter un projet
culturel commun qui est en cours de définition.
Si vous êtes
en relation avec un milieu anglophone (étudiants, professeurs, expatriés,...)
et que vous êtes à la recherche de spectacles en anglais,
n'hésitez pas à nous contacter, nous organiserons la venue
de cette troupe qui propose des spectacles de grande qualité. |

THE
FRENCH CONNECTION
On the 8th
September I flew out to Villemomble to visit our ‘Friends in France’.
I stayed with Stephanie and also met up with Etienne and Cecile who some
of you will remember from their visit at the end of last season.
They all made me extremely welcome and they send everyone their best wishes.
I am sure we would all look forward to them visiting us again soon.
I also met with the Mayor of Villemomble and the Town Twinning Association
– hopefully we will be able to arrange some more twinning soon. If
you are interested, please let me know.

THE
FRENCH CONNECTION
On the 7th
& 8th of July we had two great nights after the play with our French
compatriots. Stephanie, Nicole, Guilliame and Cecile are members
of a drama group called ‘Masques’ in Villemomble on the outskirts of Paris.
We all enjoyed their company over the weekend though I am not sure what
they made of our impromptu (and drunken) entertainment in the bar!
Shelley brought her Karaoke along and Pete Keeling did a drag act!
Our French friends were even persuaded to do a song and dance for us!
On Saturday they saw the sights of Manchester (not quite up to the standard
of Paris) and on Sunday we went to Blackpool Pleasure Beach where everyone
got soaked on the new ride ‘Valhalla’.
I am sure
we will all look forward to seeing them in Manchester again. Those
of you who would like to see them sooner can join the Town Twinning Association
on a trip to Villemomble on 8th – 10th September. It is a Festival
weekend and there will be a buffet on the Saturday night. The flight
is approx £120 and as time is short I need a list of people interested
straight away so please call me
